The congregation had such a fabulous time two years ago (we were rained out last year), that we are going back to the Boyden Refuge for worship. This promises to be a fun family service and social gathering. The service involves about a mile hike on an easy trail. Wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes. You may bring food and drink to share in the picnic area, which is near the parking lot. (No need to lug a picnic basket on the hike.) In case of rain, we'll have the service and an indoor picnic back at First Parish Church.
Directions to the Wildlife Refuge: From downtown Taunton, take Route 44 toward Dighton. After Joseph Warner Boulevard, take a left onto Cohannet Street. The entrance to the Wildlife Refuge is 0.4 mile down Cohannet St. on the right. Park in the lot near the office. We will gather at the head of the trail to the Flower Garden. A map is here.
Summer Break - The church takes a summer break between early June and Labor Day. The regular church year will resume on Sunday, September 7 with our annual Water Communion Service.
