The service begins at 10 o'clock with the lighting of the chalice, which signifies our search for truth. The order of service is much like many New England denominations with 2-3 hymns and readings taken from the bible or the writings of great philosophers, teachers and leaders.
The most important part of the service is the sermon delivered by our minister.
Music plays an important role in our service.
Services are held in our historical sanctuary, but during
the winter months we retreat to our cozy chapel .
The Sanctuary entrance faces the Police Department (southwest end of the building), the chapel entrance is on the southeast side of the building. The entrances are shown here.
A coffee hour - a popular UU tradition - follows every service.
Dress is informal but coats and ties are not unknown :)
