At the First Parish Church, you have the opportunity to begin your marriage in one of the
most beautiful and historic sanctuaries in america, with dramatic stained glass windows and a supreme organ. Our large sanctuary seats up to 600 people and has excellent acoustics. Its famous Hook Organ, installed in 1864, is renowned in New England. Our smaller chapel seats 75 comfortably and is also graced with stained glass windows.
After the ceremony you have the option of holding your reception on the premises and having photographs outside taken on scenic Church Green.
In the Unitarian Universalist tradition, there is a great deal of flexibility in planning wedding ceremonies. Our minister, the Rev. Rachel Tedesco, works with each couple to plan the type of service that suits their tastes and meets their spiritual needs. A ceremony may be traditional or
modern and may use readings from many sources, including the Bible and classical or modern poets.
Our Music Director, Kaeza Fearn, customarily provides music for wedding ceremonies at the church. Couples meet with Jennifer in advance to plan the musical part of the ceremony.
First Parish Church's facility and grounds provide an ideal venue to hold meetings and events. We offer a full kitchen, restrooms, and a variety of spaces to handle almost any size event. For more information, please contact the church.
